What is the mechanism of glucagon action as an antidot of BBs?

Basically Beta blockers cause hypoglycemia, because the sympathetic system works in stimulating glycogenolysis and making more glucose, so blocking it would cause hypoglycemia, giving glucagon would help to bring those dropped levels of glucose back. If i am wrong, please correct me somebody!!

Hmm, I think...

b blockers work on Gs receptors, blocking them, whereas glucagon will activate them.

Other ideas?

Bela's right - glucagon blocks B-blocker action at the level of second messenger - both use the same one !!

i agree with u all.
1. beta2 receptor activation --> increased glycogenolysis--> increased blood glucose. beta blockers block this pathway and glucagon restore it;
2. beta1 and 2 receptors activate adenylate cyclase (AC) --> increased in tracellular cAMP, beta blocker decrease cAMP, and glucagon, again, increase cAMP through activation of AC.

Actually might not be totally correct. Glucagon reverses the action of Beta blocker not thru B receptors but glucagon receptors. The cardiac depressant effect of betra blockers is revered by glucagon (positive chronotropic and positive ionotropic) by working on Glucagon receptors increasing adenyl cyclase and cyclic amp . Beta receptors has nothing to do with it. That is why Glucagon is DOC for Beta blocker induced cardiac depression.
