Karyolysis  Lysis of nucleus
Karyorhexis  Fragmentation of nucleus and dissolution

Haemosiderosis  Accumulation of Fe
Haemochromatosis  Accumulation of Fe and necrosis of Organs eg Liver

1. Albinism is a genetic defect characterised by total absence of melanin pigment - while vitilligo is an acquired disease of possibly autoimmune etiology characterised by patch depigmentation due to destruction of melanocytes

2. hemosiderosis: hemosiderin deposition within cells
hemochromatosis: hemosiderin within cells AND interstitium

3. karyolysis = lysis of nucleus appearing as fading off and disappearance; karyorrhexis = fragmentation of nucleus

4. pneumatocele is a kind of parenchymal necrosis resulting in cyst formation - and i would go with liquefaction ..i cud be wrong

thanks for all and for your good answers especially digitaldoc

Albinism is an inherited disorder of melanin synthesis affecting skin and hair and has two types
a) Tyrosinase -ve .... in which the enzyme is completely absent
b) Tyrosinase +ve ... in which the enzyme is present but there is intracellular inhibition of melanin formation .......

Vitiligo .... is a genetically determined acquired depigmentation of the skin .....

pneumatocele is a liquefaction necrosis as pneumatocele is an example of suppurative infection where pneumococci secrete proteolytic enzymes causing lysis of the parenchymal tissue of the lung ....... and so , the mechanism of necrosis here is heterolysis not autolysis ......

an imp difference: in albinism there is failure of melanin production with normal number of melanocytes while vitiligo is loss of melanocytes
