What would you advice for prophylaxsis to a pregant lady visiting endemic area of chloroquine resistant malaria ?

I think that Nothing else except Proguanil and chloroquine is safe in pregnancy including the first trimester. Malorone is never given in pregnancy. I am copy pasting this in reference :http://www.traveldoctor.co.uk/malaria.htm thanks for the question..

ya i do agree with dramita as per atovaquone Lack of experience in pregnancy and during breast feeding means that it should be avoided in these circumstances unless there is no suitable alternative
