is it necessary to type consent for each procedure since software tells us it's already been obtained ? eg if type brain biopsy and patient complains of cough, without any consent, software will inform us that patient doesn't agree ...

there seems to be no harm in ordering 'Consent', lets suppose u think that intubation is necessary for a pt with COPD exacerbation(not respeonding to conventional treatment), u order 'Intubate and mechanical ventilation', then u get the message that 'Pt refused consent' and lets suppose that after some more time the pt began to respond to conventional treatment. it would have been better if u had got the message while asking for consent itself rather than getting it at the time of the procedure.
its up to us to order 'Consent' or directly go ahead with the procedure, i really dont think that it might make a big difference, but in real life we always ask for consent unless we know pt has agreed to it ___________________ OK TATA BYE-BYE

Actually, you don't need to obtain consent. When you order a procedure, consent is obtained automatically. Try it out on the software.
