If signs (Include a diastolic rumble on a routine examination and others are normal, pt is healthy and exercise 20-30 minutes everyday) and Echo shows that patient has a non-calcified mitral valve with mild stenosis and wants to become pregnant, what is the most appropriate advice you could give to this patient?

a. Allow her to become pregnant provided she starts beta-blockers
b. Tell her that she needs mitral valve balloon valvotomy before she becomes pregnant
c. Tell her that she requires mitral valve replacement
d. Tell her that pregnancy is very risky and contraindicated
e. Perform an exercise stress test to assess the risk

This is a question from UW, qs there are little bit hard, I didn't get this right either. The answer is a.
At this condition, pt can tolerate pregnancy; but palpitation often occurs, so use beta-blockers to prevent it.
Thanks guys!
