Why Calcium channel blockers are avoided in WPW and VT ?

thanks

becuase the Ca- blockers prolong the Repolarization time which predisposed to VPCs and therefore to VT/VF and i think logically also to WPW.

Here is the reason... The problem in WPW.. is the accesorry pathway, from and aditional locus that is not Ca dependent, so in Drug Free situation a patient gets 50% of impulse from AV, and 50% from abnormal one. If you give Ca blocker, you block the normal AV and SN but the abnormal one is still pacing at much higher rate... so you end up worsening the situation...sinco more than 50% impulses are coming from there now.
