Hi, BBB as far as i can tell you really do have first hand information about many things concerning usmle and residency. Thank you for sharing it with us! I have a question about scrambles, because all i've read about it is a little confusing... I probably will have all my exams done by end of February 2005, how can I participate in March scrambles? Do I have to register somewhere? How does it work? I won't be ready to apply for the match 2005, but I 'd like to take a chance for transitional year or a year in internal medicine.... So if you have any comments on that, please share, I'd really appreciate that!

Thank you BBB I read the archive... it is not very clear for me still. :? So, after i see the open position on NRMP, I just call the program and fax my materials, right? I don't have to be regestered with match program for that, correct? and these results for open positions are become available on Murch 26, correct? what time exactly 12a.m or 12 p.m? Sorry for my "stupiditeness", but I want to be sure how does this process work Do you know if there exists the same scramble process for SF Match program, which run earlier then IM? if it does, where and when can I see the opening position for SF MAtch? Looking forward for your reply!

Hi, I have another question If I can be licensed after passing step 1, 2 &3, and living in CA I don't have to complete any residency for that, why do I have to apply for residency in the first place? If I can get a license after exams only, can I work as a doctor without going to residency, or this licence does not allow me to work as a doctor in particular speciality? where is the catch in here?
