can anyone pls explain to me what this means,and how to recognize a palindrome for a given gene sequence for example,GTGGAC,the answer given is GTCGAC,i want to know hot to arrive at the answer.

Its basically a word which is the same when read backwards, like CAC. for your example you give GTGGAC, so if you find complementary bases to that, you get CAGCTG, which is basically the first word read backwards. Hope i helped, if not, i know we discussed with previously also, and you might find better explanations from others as well :o)

this example u given is palindrom after changing one base G for C, so that not to be recognised by the enzyme, but a proper palindrom is eg GTGGAG should be GAGGTG
