Dear All, I just want to know how you use Q-bank. I just bought it and find out that I can do questions by subject or mix them as an exam? Which way is better? How many times did you do questions in Q-Bank? I am afraid if I do it twice I will remember them at the second time. Thanks!

Hi xk: I think the best way to use it is randomly, as an exam, cause in that way it really reflects what you really retain, besides help you to keep your knowledge fresh, the best time to start it is after you finish your first read of all the material, when are you going to take the test? best of the luck,

Thank you very much, George74mx! I am now trying to schedule my exam at the end of August. I just bought Q-bank and did about 80 physiology questions. The reason I am asking is because I haven't finish reviewing all material. I am trying to finish it in early July then start focus on questions. For some subjects, eg physiology, I have read the book more than twice and feel I've remembered everything.

i think random is better. i tried both, and random has definitely been more beneficial in having me learn new concepts and review old ones. i usu do the missed qs + new so that i can keep repeating the ones i get wrong. whatever you do, though, don't be like me and try to finish all of them in the last 3 days! i'm up to 89% done (from about 42% a few days ago), and i think i've given up. stepping it up at the end, however, has really helped me consolidate.

I finished my exam yesterdy and I use Q-bank for study. I prefer to do subject by subject because there are similar questions to compare between them.

uh, it seems everyone has his/her style. May I ask how many times you did the Q-Bank questions? If you do it twice, at the second time, would you remember the questions?

For me I started after giving two revisions ..and took randam test....which really helps you to remember from the mistakes you make... the more you generalize your thoughts ..the more you think before you answer....and it helps!! But while revising I am doing subject wise just to gather overall very important concepts.. to my notes!!

the q-bank was actually created to do subject by subject first.after you finish a subject to do questions and once you have finished studying all subjects to do random.that's what the idea behind it was.

Many thanks to you all who have replied kindly to my questions! uh, if you do q-bank more than once, do you trust the performance at the second round?

Solving second time is not to judge your performance... but it helps you learn the concepts well, by going thru the explanations which is so important all they say!!

yeah, it's good to do it by subject, but some subjects hardly have any questions so you'll use them all up. though i can say that qs i did in the beginning of the month i totally didn't remember at the end. and doing missed qs in your random really helped me drill in some concepts i kept missing.
