Hello everyone I have First Aid 2002, and was wondering whether this is appropriate to prepare to take Step 1 in March 2005. Do the editions change much? I'm not sure whether FA focuses more on the HY topics for that year, and so whether it is worth purchasing the latest volume. Thanks very much friends

Ya..i will suggest go for the latest edition of the FA.They kep updating it from testtaking students feedback. So in latest edition u may get more useful high yield topics. Where are u located? If u have 2002 edition ,i will suggest go to Barnes &Noble or Borders and have a look of the new one.Or borrow from somebody.Just write down some new changes on ur book. I hope this will help.

everyone usually says get the latest version, though i'm not personally aware of changes from year to year. i hear that the changes are pretty significant, though. i agree with docarjun--go take a look and see how it's different!

Thanks Drs Wright, Carjun and Nuprin for your help. I think I'll go and compare the HY sections today. I'm in London, UK, so it should be relatively easy to get hold of FA 2004. Hope your revision's going well

I have FA 2001, and I compared to FA 2004. There were a few difference, enough to make a newer FA better if you don't have one, but not enough to be worth the cost of buying a new one if you already have one. By the way, I think it is woefully inadequate for the test. Maybe be best used at the end of studying for a last ditch review.
