ohh, I think I know what u are talking about...the pretty pink pill. It's a barbiturate, commonly used in the past for suicide. Don't remember the name now.

However, SSRIs don't lead to suicide? I saw a program on TV and they were saying that some of the SSRIs can cause the pt to commit suicide. I think TCAs as well.

I think you have to be carefull interchanging SSRIs and TCAs, just recently Neurontin (Gabapentin) has gotten some press and law suits for allegedly prompting suicide!

The generic name is Gabapentin-it enhances GABA, used for partial seizures,bipolar disorders, migrane, neuropathic pain, side effects are sedation, ataxia,** even Kaplan states cognitive changes, it very recently got some press being suspect in causing suicide.
