In pregnancy only anticoagulation should be considered. IV Heparin is the choice. LMWH's are safer and are given in PE in pregnancy. Its right that heparin is used in pregnant cases of PE but i have a doubt, wann know which route is commonly used IV or SQ ? thrombolytics r indicated in PE case when its life threatening /refractory cases/hypoxemia/hypotension .

LMWH is given subcutaneously for PE. 1 mg/kg twice daily or 1.5mg/kg once daily.
