do it your last month, but try to get all of them done. how much you score depends on how much you study and how you do it. i've been experimenting with doing it both after studying each subject and doing random questions. after studying each subject i usually do really well (70-90%). bf i started studying, i was getting about 60% in random. some of my friends were getting 50% in the beginning. bf studying path and pharm, i stayed pretty consistent, sometimes going up to 70%, but usually staying around 65%. after path and pharm i've been kinda variable, but usually between 70-80%. so don't get discouraged if your random score doesn't go up much until the very end--this is what i hear from many people who have taken the exam. as for whether you should do random or subject-wise, i don't know. so far, i've thought it beneficial to do random from the beginning bc then i'd get exposure to concepts that i would learn later (and remember better), and i'd also get a review of stuff i'd already done. subject-wise is good, too, to reinforce the stuff you just learned. so i do think a combo would be best. the biggest disadvantage is that there aren't that many questions in some topics. from what i've heard from people posting their scores and stuff (check out the "exam experiences" message at the top of the posts) is that people who do extraordinarily well usually have a qbank avg of 75-85%. of course, if you're doing random qs bf you start studying a topic you might have a lower average unless you repeat questions. good luck!

I DO AGREE WITH NUPRIN, BUT I THINK IT IS CERTAINLY WORTH STARTING OFF EARLY WITH QBANK AND IN THE MIDDLE WHEN UR GOING THRU THE THEORY YOU CAN COMPARE ANY IMPROVEMENTS IN SCORING PATTERN ON Q BANK, FOR THEN U CAN CONCENTRATE ON THE WEAKER SECTIONS. WELL, OVERALL A BALANCE IS NEEDED BETWEEN QUESTIONS AND THEORY, IF U HAVE SAY 4 MONTHS DURING FIRST TWO MONTHS DO 60% THEORY AND 40% QUESTIONS, THEN DURING LAST TWO MONTHS DO MORE AND MORE QUESTIONS AND SIMULATED EXAMS. LIKE I USED TO GET AROUND 70-72 INITIALLY THEN AS I STARTED REVISING THE TEXT AND SUBJECTS THE SCORES JUMPED BETWEEN 6-10 %.

Hi there: I think that is much better use the Q bank at least one month before the test, if you can use it three months before the test or after you finish your first reading untill the test day, it won't harm you, obviously is much better if you use it in a random fashion, because it reflects your real knowledge status in any given time, besides it helps you to keep your first subjects studied fresh, wich is one of the great advices: keep your knowledge fresh.
