hello,thank you for your kind and up to the point notes
my quistion is ;i'm an IMG -no green card -i got 95 and 80 in steps 1 and 2 respectively,did not do csa at the time of application and though i applied to about 45 programs in september last year via eras i only got 2 interviews,i applied to university based and community based hospitas,now i'm still in the same situation since i did not pass the csa,what can i do to raise the number of interviews-i'll do the 2cs in september.

that i don't have any us experience ,my recomendation letters are from professors of my home country(graduates of england and usa),and i graduated 3 years ago .i'd really preciate your reply,thanks in advance.

Just wanted to let you know they are holding the CSA results ,we don't know until when,1st it was Oct.,now they said Nov.My friend took it 6/04 and I took it 7/04,still waiting...

Oh my gosh :roll: I took it few days ago10/2/04..if they r releasing 6/04 result by nov ,then when will be mine released ?
But why did they mentioned 6 weeks then ?
hope we get it with in time frame for match .

Asmi,
6 weeks refers to the normal waiting period, after first results are scaled and released. We will be waiting much longer, unfortunately.
Where did you take your CS?

Not having CS results means no ECFMG certification...without which one cant apply for Step 3...is it true??!! Many hospitals offer H1 B visa on the condition of passing step 3 by dec 04/Jan05...so basically is it a no win situation!?

I Pray that you guys get the match THIS YEAR! I will be going for the match next year and I don't want to compete with you guys especially YULIA!!
I would think that you will get interview with step 1 and step 2 scores, need to be ecfmg certified by match day.
As for step 3 I think you can negotiate with them if they like you after the interview.
Do tell them about your problems.
I know of someone who had prematch in October for H1, they hold the seat for him until he cleared Step 3 in January.

does any body know when will the CS results be reported? it took too long!!
