hi, MC childhood brain tumour is pilocytic astrocytoma.... when it comes to MC malignant tumour of brain in childhood then it is medulloblastoma... note that both r posterior fossa tumors...

aha, tricky... I asked my professor and he said that the amount of cases that they see of these two neoplasms is 50/50.

According to Kaplan, infretentorial brain tumors are the most common brain tumors in children with the order of occurence being : 1. cerebellar astrocytoma 2. medulloblastoma 3. brain stem glioma 4. ependymoma
