hi dear friends,yesterday i was filling the application form for 2ck when i came to an item regarding NBME part or step examination history
the answer is YES or NO..what exactly are they asking and what is APPLICANT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER????
but i'm really confused about this item as below this item they have written that answering it incorrectly amounts to IRREGULAR BEHAVIOUR
so plz friends anybody who has filled the application and is an IMG plz plz clarify this point
i need to submit my application today itself

hi doc
i filled the step 2 appliaction long back
n since i already took step 1, they had all data saved , i had to barely fill in 4-5 lines, so soory i really dont remember the thing u are asking??
but as far as i think IMG s have all exam thru ECFMG, NOT NBME..better call up them n ask , thts the best option

dear doc2002 sorry for the late reply , i believe that the application number would be ur ecfmg identification no. which u would have gotten when u took step 1 . as for the nbme history i think they mean have u taken any exams before , so if u've taken step1 then the ans would be yes .
but just to be on the safe side i would also suggest calling up the ecfmg , just look it up on google or even the ecfmg site and ask all ur doubts , they r very helpful.

hi journo....................back after a long gap.....................the new year has not been so happy for me.............lost my grandmother on the first day of new year so did not study for the past week as i was very attached to her............

hi journo back after the emotional turmoil so now all set to study again............
will start with goljan audio of respiratory system to be sure of the basics ............
then will switch to kaplan vid and notes.............

Hey doc2002, thanks for your welcome message. I hope that your prep is going well... sorry to hear about your grandmother too.
I just recently submitted my CK application through ecfmg and I vaguely remember the question you've been bugged by. Did you end up calling them? I just ignored that question I think as I don't think I had an application ID number via NBME (I did step1 through ECFMG). I hope I don't get smashed for irregular behaviour!

ya aussie doc i ended up calling them waited for almost half an hour and ultimately got the reply that as we are IMGs so we will be answering it NO although i have no idea why they have put it in the application when we IMGs don't apply to NBME rather we apply to ECFMG.......hope it lessens your worry about IRREGULAR BEHAVIOUR .........me too was really bugged by it but now i have answered it no........
btw when r u planning ur ck???????
