From the end of the event - got my score - 231/99
nbme - 460 - 4 wks before uw sa - 470 - 2 wks before test uw 1 mo in july - 70% (second time, first time i think it was 55-59, and that was in april-may)
so, my prepartion was quite lenghty, after i did not match 2009 with ck score 99 and step 1 88, i was not in any hurry. I still not quite sure what exactly caused me to get only 2 iv out of 36 applications - either my decision to apply only to 1 specialty or that fact that i got ecfmg certificate on january - bcs of paperwork mess with my med school - (all my exams were done in august)
Material I used - UW - MCQ and CCS, KQB, MTB, my notes from step 2, emedicine.com for all references and clarifications.
For the last month it was really full time - 8-10 hours a day, (14 is impossible, i tried, but it wasted extra hours) Probably it was too much of studying, but my experience of not matching did it to me - ocd with whatever i can do to increase my chances for the match.
If you have any questions - you are welcome to ask.

i would say many ccs were like uw or even had uw stem
Imp topics - all topics that MTB has, there are two days of questioning, they will go over all possible topics
MTB : I did not like it at the begging, only after exam i could tell that it has everything what I needed, not in details, paying attention that it has some mistakes, but it is a very good review book.

That's what i did - Master The Board + my own notes in the last few days, do not forget ccs
nbme is not a good predictor for this test. from my research of other ppls experiences: 370 -203/83 390 - 192/78 380 - 210/86 380 - 208/85 390 - 206/84 350 - 215/88 390 - 197/80, etc. you can find it there http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/27897/

@hero , your examples of NBME are spot on. There's a guy om usmleforum who was very active and seemed quite knowledgable. NBME 370 and today I learned that he couldn't clear [ 73] !! Entire forum is shocked. Mine was 400 and exam felt horrible on day 1 so I am just keeping my finger crossed. Your score is terrific btw!

Your score is terrific btw! sorry to hear that, I was shocked too about harry, I thought he is really well prepared. What I think is - there is a problem with nbme and forums all the time - ppl posting questions from nbme without warning where those question from - so result is often biased. I had bad disappointment with that before my step 2 - so i tried do not hang around forum questions before i took this nbme. Plus the fact that nbme does not estimate ccs part - If that is true that 1 singe ccs equal to 18 questions - that's a lot of points can be added or subtracted from mcq part. Good Luck for your score, bad feelings does not mean bad result, that's more tells how hard you judging yourself.
@ srita - I don't remember, sorry

@ hero , thanks pal. Didn't know you were around usmleforum. I have seen the trap of NBME questions on usmleforum i step 1 , so I steered clear of any questions there before my NBME during step 2 and 3. Regarding the CCS, I was good I think in that part, but I don't know how much it impacts passing. I've seen plenty of stories on forum with good CCS performance and failure due to MCQs. Well, all is guess till the results arrive. Thanks for the reply!

Congrats, your score is terrific! Actually I use the same material as you did. Have you got any audio/visual question or question from sports medicine? Some people mention swanson. Any experience with that book so far? How do you feel is there any difference applying 2nd instead of 1st of September? Best of luck with match!

@HILFIGER I didn't read Swanson. Sports medicine - it's actually orthopedic-surgery, yes, I had questions, prep with UW was enough to answer those questions (if I could manage them - I'm very far from loving surgery) Audio/visual - yes, cardio, 2 or 3.
As per bbb - does not matter if you apply 1st or 12th of september. Last year I could not apply on 1st day, eras had technical difficulties.
