sorry for another question...but I would greatly appreciate if someone could explain the mechanism of decreased contractility in the heart due to acidosis and how hypokalemia/hyperkalemia affect the heart! ...I get so confused sad

The heart is one of the most alkaline-dependent organs in the body. It is partly innervated by the vagus nerve which functions best in an alkaline environment.
Hypo K and Hyper K effects... just think of the action potential...and currents invlved in phases.
