hi, tetracyclines r irritants...everywhere... say GIT mucosa also...their irritant property stimulates fibrosis

everything (i mean almost every medication) is irritable in GI mucosa, tetracyclines prhaps have some differnt property which makes it irritant in pleural space.

yep they r irritant, also used for some cases of hydrocele
