The action of this med. is unknow. what they said is that relieves skeletal muscle spasm of local origin without disrupting muscle function. It is indicated for short-term tretment of muscle spasm.

PM is usually Rxed with NSAIDs except in pts with temporal arteritis where roids are used. PM is closely associated with temporal arteritis although PM is more common. (In general NSAIDs with or without muscle relaxers are pretty common Rx for muscle pain or stiffness) [dx, when I ans. your qs I usually wind up opening the biggest book I got ]
