Hello, Could you validate for me the following statements, which I came up with after careful review of the USMLE/ECFMG publications: (1) CSA is/was not a USMLE Exam and is therefore not required to be passed within seven years from passing the first USMLE Exam for ECFMG Certification. (2) Step2-CS is a USMLE Exam and is required to be passed within the seven year period. IMGs who have passed Step1 and/or 2 prior to implementation of Step2-CS (that is prior to June 2004) are not affected by that seven year rule. (3) I passed Step1 and Step2 (old w/o CSA) within seven years, and my first passing performance was prior to Step2-CS implementation. I have not taken the CSA. There is no time limit for passing Step2-CS, receiving ECFMG Certification and entering a GME program. Is that correct? Cheers, and thanks for your comments!
