your answer is right but in lecture teacher said that amphetamine still hyperactivate.
any argument on this?

ADD is a misnomer...basically wat happens is dat persons with ADHD have difficulty regulating their attention or inhibiting their attention to nonrelevant stimuli, and/or focusing too intensely on specific stimuli . many persons with ADHD pay too much attention to too many things, leading them to have little focus.
in essesnce, these kids cant concentrate so, they r so very fidgety...
there is low frontal lobe activity and neurotransmitters involved in it r catecholamines..
so, we give amphetamines which are cns stimulants
