I hope someone can help me on this. Is it true that to know whether you pass step 1 or not, you apply for Step 2 CS. If you can fill out an application via IWA, that means you passed?

Thanks thanks!

Yes, thats true. But, in that case,
1. I am sure your score must have been reported which you can see on OASIS.
2. If you try to re-apply for step 1, you will get the message that "you have already passed"

not step 2 u reapply for step1

hope u pass. but since u took step 1 and applied for step2, it doesnt tell u anything bout your step1 score. u should check on oasis if your score is reported, if yes, reapply for step1, if u get a red screen it will say u already pass step1.
wish u the best grin

Hi all,

I took step1 on May 28th. Have not receive score yet...
I've just tried the re-application for step1 on OASIS, and I got the following message:
"Our records indicate that you are already registered for this Step. You may not apply for a Step if you are already registered for that Step. If you fail a Step, you may submit another application for this exam, but certain time limits apply for retaking a Step. For complete information, refer to Reexamination and Reapplication in the ECFMG Information Booklet and Time Limit and Number of Attempts Allowed to Complete All Steps in the USMLE Bulletin of Information."

So I think it does not help at all...
Or did I fail??? :?

No, your scores are yet not reported. This message doesnt mean anything. It comes, even if u re-apply just day after your exam.

Thanks,
I was so nervous that I even could not think logically, now I know that it did not make sense to try it before the score reporting...
