I know liver biopsy is confirmatory test .But here gold standard test is asked.Donno :roll:

I am not very clear about the differerce between "comfirmatory versus gold standard test". Please tell me about it.

Just feel the definitive diagnosis should be biopsy. Let see the answer given by bobby. 8)

Gold standard: liver biopsy!!!
demonstrate hepatic siderosis and a quantitative increase in liver content. (it is also a confirmatory test)

i have done some modifications on the question!!

the correct ans is g
all the ans chioses given are correct. and can help in establishing a diagnosis of hemachromatosis
