hello everyone! I'm brand new here and wish to get some help from people who're also doing NBME3.

1.if a patient survives for 1 year, which is the probability that he will
survive for 4 years?
why the answer is B? Why not D?

2. EM cardiac muscle, which structure is present in cardiac but not skeletal
muscle? what C stands for?

3.a 51 yr old man comes to the physicain bc of fatigue, weakness and joint
pain for 5 days, for past 9 months he's been taking prednisone daily for
severe rheumatoid arthritis. he tells the physician that he lost the
medicine and did not have it replaced. what's the mechanism for his symptoms
? answer is adrenal atrophy due to suppression of ACTH. Why would adrenal
atrophy cause fatigue and joint pain?

4. ursodeoxycholic acid will decrease bile acid? wouldn't that worsen cholesterol gallstone?

5. the mean median mode one, i believe A is right, anyone agree?

so far i did 3 and 4. i found lost in all the brain section Qs. like the one with all the gyrus of the surface of brain. how do you improve those? i can't find any pictures like those on NBME, like in high yield neuroanatomy or google.

Thanks so much and have a great day of study!

by the way i got 450 only. 1.5 months to go. any chance for 95?
