the mean for this year is 217, and the SD is 24.

(at least that's what it said on my friend's report). So teh above numbers reflect that (vs. a mean of 215 and a SD of 20)

Thank you so much, Ahdy2000! I'm really flattered by your dedication. Much love, man!!

:icon_thumb: :icon_thumb: :!: :!:

You earned through sweat and tears every last bit of the knowledge you've gained, no doubt...And look at that incredible strategy--compiling those scores as data to inform the kill. El General strikes again!!

  #178

Hi Ahdy2000, A simple question, Is Goljan audios the 5 days lectures and every day cover 6-7 hours? Is any other Goljan audio lectures for step one. Which version of Goljan lecture note did you use(how many pages?)?

Thanks

  #179

congratulations ahdy2000, and more power to you! :icon_salut:

God bless on your scores!

Hi ahdy!
hope you are rocking now!after finishing this exausting exam!i m waiting for the same day!
i have reached last 9 days phase like you.....the days are flying only.but the problem is with...speed and concentration.feeling tempted to go in details still.not satisfied with myself!
any startegy to improve the speed??????

  #183

about the speed, DocArjun. Just do what you set to do, whatever you put in your schedule. It's not about speed at this point, it's about knowledge. Know FA if you don't know where to start. Make sure you finish Goljan, and Qbank if you can.

Hope this helps.

a

  #184

Thanks Ahdy...
I have given preference to FA nowadays!
And yes i have become consistent after that !
Want to be like this till the end! [-o<

  #185

Lord...help DocArjun to achieve what she wants to achieve. Bless her mind and time. Be with her always.

Good luck DocArjun!

and I already got my score, today as a matter of fact. I guess this is the end of an era. This is definitely more than I deserve.

My score

244/99

This is truly miraculous, and purely due to your prayers. Thank you everbody for your support, for your hopes, and for your thoughts. God bless you all and give you as much as you want, to fulfill your heart's desires.

my starred subjects are

GI
Genetics
Nutrition
Renal/Urinary
Reproductive/Endocrine

my borderline performance subject is

Respiratory system

The mean and standard deviation for my test were, respectively, 217 and 23, with most scores falling between 140 and 260.

My only wish is I wish I had finished all of Qbank.

Thanks again, all of you.

Lots of love,
ahdy

Thanks Josh!

You know something, the more I read people's experiences, and even the experiences of some of my friends, the more I know I got lucky. My friend, who took it on the same day as me, had a lot of brachial plexus questions, for example, at least 1 per block. I got one in the whole test. So if I gotten all those anatomy questions, I probably would have done not as good. So...I got really really lucky. It's kinda crazy that residency programs base their decisions on a test that involves so much luck, depending if you get questions that you know (and you can't know everything I think...well, you can...but).

Praise to God.

I've decided something today

I'm going to buy the new edition of FA each year for the rest of my practicing life and read it over the course of a few months. It'll help me stay current, and there's SOOOO much information that is pertinent to actual patient-care. It's unbelievable. And now, not even a month out of the test, and I'm losing most of it. I think FA is awesome. So the message for people studying now, don't just study for now, but study for forever. It might make things a little less tedious.

  #199

Great score ahdy, and i am very happy for you. You hard work paid off, and i like how you said that we should study forever, not for now, the more you know, the better of a doctor you can be. I wanted to ask you what did you study for behavioral, i am having some problems deciding what to study for it. last time i did kaplan and FA, but still did'nt do to well on the test, as that was my lowest performance so now that i am trying to improve it, what would you recommend?? Neways, all the best for STEP 2!!

thanks MLF.

For behavior science, I would recommend reading High Yield Behavior science, and doing the Kaplan Qbank behavior science questions (about 100) at least a couple of times. What i did was do them part of the random questions I did, then 2 days before the test, I selected them specifically and did about 10 at a time during my breaks of studying, so I ended up doing them around 2x. I think the bolus at the end of seeing them all again all at once right before the test really helped. Plus, there was at least 1 question from that, almost word for word.

That's what I would recommend. Good luck MLF, and God bless.
