hi Im an IMG too in NY...

anyway, i dont think its too late. People from my country usually submit documents to ERAS together with scores (without CS yet) by late October and early November. and they still get matched! I will take CS October.

I myself will apply to ERAS without my CS yet. anyway majority of programs would consider you for interview with just step 1 and CK scores.

you cannot do anything about CS but you might want to schedule CK ealier of you want peace of mind...

ok good luck!!

thanks alot for clearing my doubts
i was wondering if you needed like an ecfmg certificate& US letters of recomendation for eras&the match?
i am more worried cause i have had no us experience&will have time only to do so after i finish my step2 ck&step2 cs............
sad thats in october?november is that ok for the eras&the match??
how much time on an average should it take to fifnish studying for step2 ck any idea??

you dont need US clinical experience for majority of the programs. that is where you have to find out whether the program your applying for is IMG friendly or not. For the LORs, although a US LOR would be helpful, it is not a necessity. LORs from our countries would do.

november, although a little late, is still good.

i studied CK for 2 1/2 months. got good score. but did full time study (10 hrs/day).

As IMGs, as long as we get good scores (85+), get the VISA for CS and interviews, and with luck - we get accepted. remember there are around 7000 slots for IMGs every year.

hope i answered your q's. smiling face
