Hi the most beautiful forum:

My exam will be in the next week, I want to ask some questtions......

1. When can I take the break and how long it is?

2.Can I use papers and pen to solve some problems?

3. Do they provide calculator?

You can take breaks after any block as soon as u finish the blocks. Total break time is 1 hour. However, if u finish the blocks early, that ur extra break time.

Yes, they provide you pen and unlimited scratch pads to solve or write anything u wish.

They dont provide calculator but lab values are given.

Lab values are given in a print or in the test screen like Qbank?
Also can i bring my watch or what kind of watch can i bring? Also can i bring drink with me in the test room or it has to be outside in the locker? Thanks :?

Dear Fernanda (and ELM),

I took the exam on May 27th and I am waiting impatiently for the results...think I've failed...had only 2,5 months to prepare...
to answer your questions:

Lab values are given in the test screen like Qbank...you are allowed to bring a 'normal' watch, probably not with a calculator!
No, you're not allowed to bring any food or drink in the test room, everything has to be stored in a locker!

Wish you good luck for your exam! smiling face

as far as watches go, digital watches are not allowed from my understanding. must be an analog watch (i.e. a watch with a big hand and little hand).

analog chronographs are okay, right?

Are we allowed to bring a regular calculator, or do they use rounded numbers so that we can do the calculations easily via paper and pen? Best of luck to everyone by the way!

  #10

i think there are no calculators. the #s seem pretty rounded on the qbanks, so i imagine they are on the real test (much like the mcat)s

Yeah I've been doing q-bank without a calc and just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
