SOME one plz explain difference between allelic heterogeneity and genetic heterogeneity?????????
allelic heterogenity : is different mutation but in the same gene
because mutation is in the same gene it will give similar or same disease but the type of mutation may make the disease more or less severe
plus there is no allelic heterogenity in the same family
but there is may be allelic hetergenity between families
e.g duchenne and beker
genetic heterogenity or locus heterogeneity is same or similar diseases from different mutation in " different genes"
e.g osteogenesis imperfecta type I and type II
plus contrast that with pleitropy
which is mutation in same gene can give different organ symptoms
e.g marfan syndrom
so i am right or wrong ?
DIFFERENT NO. OF ALLELES REGARDING ONE GENOTYPE=ALLEIC HETEROG.
DIFFERENT NO. OF GENTYES COMPARE WITH PARTICULAR GENOTYPE=GENETIC HETEROG.
,,BUT WHAT YOU WILL DO ABOUT,,,GENETIC FEQUENCY AND ALLELIC FREQUENCY??????????
