A patients presents to an opthalmologist complaining of diff reading in the afternoons and evenings cuz his eyelids get too heavy and he gets double vision. The opthalmologist is concerned about a paraneoplastic syndroms because the patient also has a recent unexplained 20 lb weight loss. what is the diagnosis?

ifs its a paraneoplastic syndrome then answer is eaten lambert syndrome but obviosly u can differentiate between the 2 clinically by seeing the response to reapeated activity. in eaten lambert the power improves while it worsns in myasthenia

exactly. but Kaplan referred it as myasthenia gravis in the context of paraneoplastic syn. another question, which incidence is increased in thyoma and bronchogenic cancer, myasthenia or Eaton-lambert?

in the chapter of neoplasia BRS has reffered to Eaton-lambert as paraneoplastic
