ferritin, haptoglobin, C-reactive protein, ceruloplasmin, complement components, fibrinogen, prothrombin, plasminogen

Elevated ferritin levels may not indicate increased iron stores but may represent an acute phase response.

Increased C-reactive protein may indicate some type of underlying disease (ex. inflammation or opportunistic infection).
