I had posted previously a question about Kaplan Live Prep. Does anyone have any insight on the Video Lectures at the Kaplan centers? Would the live lecture be a better option, or will I get more or less the same from video? Thanks in advance!

Don't know much about the live lectures, however, i did do the video lectures, and i think they are GREAT, you can rewind as much as you want if you dont understand anything and the instructors are great, and you set your own time and pace. With live, i guess you have the teacher there to ask any questions but the wayits presented on the videos, they do a good job of explaining everything. If you dont mind following a set schedule than maybe try live lectures but if your like me and like working at your own pace then video lectures are great!!!!

How can you buy this video lectures from kaplan?? do you watch it from the internet???

Actually the videos are only available at kaplan centerr and you have to go there to watch them. If you want to do the webpass course, that is when you can stay at home and the lectures are on the net, but for video course, you have to buy medpass, which costs $999. With that comes all the kaplan lecture notes, access to all the videos for all subjects, and extra for extra practice, its a 30 visit pass, and you also get their Q book with more than 800 questions. Hope this helps!

i think the new videos have arrived as well as the new texts.

rida, thank you veyr much for your insight into the videos. i decided to go that route. just received my books today and looking forward to getting started!

the new videos i think have reached most centers by now. apparently, those who already have the old set of notes will be given the new notes free of charge. and will be allowed to hang on to the old notes. that was the notice here today at the kaplan center in atlanta anyway.

rida, sorry, haven't ignored your post, justi haven't checked the forum in a while. what have you decided to do? since i never had the old set, i'm not quite sure what the main differences are. i think if you've got a plan for the last 2.5 weeks or so before your exam, just stick with that. the concepts remain the same really, so if you've already gone through all the videos and notes, then you really have everything you need. have they been specific as to which sections have been changed? if so, then maybe you can just compare those sections when you have some spare time. but if it's nonspecific, then it would prob take more time than it's worth. but at your point, i would focus on areas that you think need reinforcing and questions, questions, questions. i wish you the best of luck!
