I just bought kaplan notes 2002. I called kaplan and was told 2003/2004 notes are the newest. Anyone can tell me how different 2002 and 2003/2004 notes are? Are there any drawbacks if I use the 2002 notes? Thanks!

i just enrolled for the live lecture classes in july and they gave me the 2002 books.

I believe the new notes should have come out already? As of June 2004

your right sorry,i had just gotten my 2002 books last week so i traded them in for the new ones today.
I compared the physiology page by page as that is what i am currently studying and in the phys book there is no difference except the old one has 4 or 5 more figures than the new.So i'll keep on using the old, even the questions are the same.I plan on comparing the rest of the subjects over the weekend.

Please after comparing both editions ,can you let us know what the changes are ?
Thanx diahuq

I actually got COMLEX notes. The thing confused me is that the seller told me the notes is 2002 but the copyright is 2001. However, I found my notes is copyrighted 2002. How about you guys? Are the 2003/2004 notes also copyrighted in 2002?

oops

I got COMLEX too. Do you have any clue if you could use them to prepare USMLE step 1? Thanks a lot!

  #10

  #11

dodo6,

For very_confused Comlex and USMLE kaplan notes, are they exactly identical?

  #12

Sorry for the late reply. I did not check the forum very often.

Troy:
I am not exactly sure whether they are the same. It seems there shouldn't be much difference. Both the seller and the CSR from kaplan said so. You'd better call kaplan yourself and further confirm it.

Ahdy2000:
What do you mean 37 lecture or 40 lecture? I have 7 lecture notes and 1 q-book.

  #13

I mean are there 37 audio lectures or 40 audio lectures?

thx.

  #14

Ahdy2000: I still have no clue what are you talking about? Do you mean webprep? Cause there is no audio with my kaplan notes.

  #15

i'm not talking about the Kaplan notes, I'm talking about the audio lectures. There are 37. Thanks.

I used 2001 or 2002 notes (got them in 2003). They are more than sufficient. There are lots of questions in Kaplan Q book and CD that I feel are not in the notes, but very few of those on actual test. Know Kaplan notes and you will do fine. No need to worry about newer editions.
