Absent GnRH cells in the Hypothalamus due to where they derived from embyologically.... nasal placode. This also will cause an absent CN I, thus a clinical feature of anosmia... they do not have the sense of smell. With out GnRH you loose pituitary hormones LH/FSH thus reproductive consequences ensue.
Don't know if you knew or you were asking. But it goes something like that... the only thing i dont feel so sure about is the proper term for the embryological origin "nasal placode" is all i can come up with right now.
