Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows for certain what the current cholesterol guidelines are in the US? I keep reading different things in different places...

People with ACTIVE CORONARY DISEASE or who have ACTIVE CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE teh LDL goal is <70, and the HDL > 40.

In patients who are not suffering from active vessel disease in the heart or brain, LDL goal is < 100, and the HDL > 40.

Just remember sets of 30s .. 100 130 160 thats when u want to control via diet with CAD risk factor , 2 or + risk, 1-0 risk .. Then if u wanna do Rx u just add 30 to the previous value except 100 because thats the value for CAD equivalent people.

f.a has 70 for target i dnt know if thats right, i m 2 lazy to check.
