Hehe--I think I've seen this question here somewhere before. wink

Thrombosis is caused by endothelial cell damage, increased factor VIII and V, decreased thrombomodulin activity, and increased thromboxane A2.

Atherosclerosis is promoted by smooth muscle cell proliferation and lipid peroxidation.
