Dear Dr BBB!
My name is Vitaly and I live in Kyrgyzstan and I'm preparing to step 1.
My mom is the US citizen and I'm also planning to move to the US within a year (INS will consider my application in about a year or so).
I was wondering if I can do something like moving to the US and taking Step 1 while my papers are in process? Maybe I should apply to Kaplan in-center courses to get a student visa or I should find some research positions at some universities? Is it possible to get a student visa and then change it to a greencard (based on family relationship) being in the US?
