Hi, the 60s score at Kaplan's is a 60%, the 2 digit score of USMLE is not a percent score. I can only offer my personal experience. Kaplan qs are more difficult than the real thing. But are excellent for your preparation process. My limited experience on step 1 is the last scores I was achieving in Kaplan were between 70-78 and I got a 93 in the USMLE Step 1. So my these are my suggestions:
1. Study your mistakes at Qbank (print the not only the wrong answers but also the right ones and study why x was wrong y was right, z was wrong etc)
2. Give more time to your self until you achieve 70s in Kaplan before giving the exam.
3. At the beginning of Qbank my scores were at 60s but I improved after some practice and study.
4. Try Blueprints q&a for Step 1. It is more like the real exam and may reflect your real score.
5. Have some fun! Make the whole thing a Positive experience.
6. The above are my personal advises you don’t have to follow them!
