Hi,
I have questions about CA Application Status letter that is required for all residency programs in CA. Can I start applying for this letter without ECFMG certificate? How? -I can't find more specific information on line. How long will it take to get the CA Application Status letter?
I just finished step1 in Feb and will take step2 in Auguest and CS in September, which means an ECFMG certificate won't be available to me until late November or early December. Does it mean I have no chance for any residency program in CA?

Start the application early, they say on the web site that it takes now 6 to 9 months!!
Send whatever documents you have now and when available sent the rest.
You don't send the scores/ECFMG certificate with the application, just go to fsmb.org/transcripts and send an EBAHR form for Calif. Med. Board.
