Definition of “perinatal mortality”?

  #2

The number of perinatal deaths per 1000 births. The perinatal period starts as the beginning of foetal viability (28 weeks gestation or 1000g) and ends at the end of the 7th day after delivery. Perinatal deaths are the sum of stillbirths plus early neonatal deaths.

That's what i thought. But a question in q book, it counts from IUFD from 20th week + stillbirth + neonatal death 28th day after birth.

Which to follow?

  #4

STILL BIRTHS + INFANT DEATHS (< 7 DAYS OLD ) X 1000

LIVE BIRTHS +STILL BIRTHS

i think qbook is wrong

agree wiht docs.

still birth (28 weeks +) + early neonates (till 7 days)/ live + still births X 1000
