I finished a NBME assessment of form 1. I though it was fairly ok & compared to USMLEasy it was easier. I scored 630. The graphical representation showed most of the bars in the extreme right side (higher performance).. Has anyone done the NMBE assessment & subsequentlly done the Step 1 found any co relation between the scores?? I have heard that NBME questions ar every close to USMLE boards. If so.. is 630 good? I am planning to do the step 1 on 9th June. Any input would be appreciated. Many thanks in anticipation.

did you took both form 1 and form 2, or which one that score you got, you got good score,,,,,

thanks 4 the reply dr.shar.... this was the form 1 score.. I Have bought the other form as well.. which I wil solve in a day or two. Have you also bought the forms? where does 630 stand along a sort of percentile score..any ideas?

i am taking exam on 16th this month, in two days i will take form 1 exam,. your score is above two standard deviations. you will get above 95 in actual exam. how much you score in usmle practice CD that sent by ecfmg... i got 46 of 50 in first block. yet to do second and third.

43 on first block. by the way... NBMEscores.... the scores are in teh range of 200 to 800 with a mean of 500. SD is 100. If Iam not wrong.. a score of 630 barely just made it across the 1st SD which is roughly 85 percentile.. I do however admit I am not particularly good at stats...correct me it I am wrong.

Hope it is true...but then all depends on teh D-day... which is 4 days from now!!!! I spoke to someone at Kaplan.. & they claim that NBME is not that accurate as their q bank & simulated test at predicting real board scores...is it true or clever advertising tricks?!

i took my nbme exam today. i got 710 on form 1. hope i will do better in exam on june 16th. wish you godd luck. dont forget to give advice after your exam completed.
