1) LHRH agonist. E.g, Leuprolide
2) Non steroidal Anit-androgen E.g., flutamide, nilutamide, bicalutamide
3) Steroidal Anti-androgen E.g., Cyproterone acetate
4) GnRH anatagonist e.g., abarelix

add:1) GnRH analog-gonadorelin
2) Anti androgen-very good
3) Inhibit androgen synthesis-aminogluutethimide,ketoconazole,
finasteride
4)also castration /adrenalectomy
5)* Ill have to comment later on abarelix and its category

Addendum-dx, I see that you subclassified GnRH to LHRH- In most books
that I look at Lueprolide, Histrelin, Nafarelin and Goserelin are
classified as GnRH agonists.(given CONTINUOUSLY they
eventually inhibit androgens
* From what I read the FDA gave abarelix priority treatment
in approving it. Its relatively new.
However and with your input I see that they classify it as
a "new" category GnRH antagonist because unlike the other
GnRH agonist there is no initial testosterone surge. Thanks for
enlightening me to this new category!
