hi there, i wonder if anyone knows why these decrease the Repolarization time. i know they work on Inactive Na channels, but what does it have to do with repolarization ??

class1B anti arrythmics decrease action potential duration due to block of the slow NA+ " window" currents

what do you mean by "window" current, is that the "funny" currents in the SA that generate the AP? if that is so, how would that effect the REPOLARIZATION ?
give me the clue <:help:>

no, it's simple, we have fast na+ channel that lead to depolarization, but at resting mb, we have normal passive na+ leak from extracell to intracell trought slow channel, than if we block this channel, the repolarisation will be faster leading to decrease of action potential duration.
i think it help you to understand.
