Pt is admitted to psychiatric hospital after having been picked up by police for making inappropriate sexual advances. She has deficits in memory, insight, judgement, personal appearance, and social behavior. Gets epileptic seizure. Over a few years, motor findings also develop, including relaxed, but expressionless facies, tremor, dysarthria, and papillary abnormalities.
Dx?
What test would u do to confirm this?

No.
Hint: it has to do w/ a bacterial infection that has 3 phases and only in the third phase u see neurological problems. Not good to be promiscuous 
Need any more hints?

Actually, the only reason I got it right is because the answer choices helped. They asked what would you test for in the CSF and gave answer choices pertaining to bacterial infection and viral infection and the FTA Abs. So, I made an educated guess.
That's why I shared it with u guys b/c they never taught me in school about the details of this complication.
