How to calculate ANC (Absolute neutrophil count)? How to definite “neutropenic” by this ANC?

  #2

neutropenia is count < 1500/uL.

ANC is the total neutrophil count ....and since 50 % of neutrophils are marginating ... then I would assume... ANC is double the amount of neutrophils determined by CBC

This is new to me. In a question in q book, ANC is defined as "wbc count x % of neutrophil" and < 500 is defined as "neutropenic". thanks both of u and GL. smiling face
