If acromegaly is suspected, what is the first test to do? How to do it? If possitive, what to do next?

A fasting serum specimen is first assayed for Prolactin, IGF-1,Glucose, liver enzymes & BUN, Inorganic Phosphorous, Free thyroxine, TSH, Serum calcium. Glucose syrup is then administered orally & serum GH is measured 60 minutes afterward; Acromegaly is excluded if the serum GH is <2ug/L. MRI shows a pituitary tumor. X-Rays of the skull show an enlarged sella & thickened skull. A lateral view of the foot shows increased thickness of the heel pad.
