A 70-year old man complains of urinary frequency, urgency and suprapubic discomfort. On examination, his prostate is slightly enlarged. Analysis of prostatic secretions shows high number of leukocytes, but does not culture any organism. What is the next step in management?

give a trial of erythramycin for 2w; if getting clinical response then continue 3 to 6 weeks. The disease's prognosis is annoying, recurrent but without serious complications. Thanks.
