Rare chronic inflammatory disease involving the small blood vessels. It is of unknown etiology and characterized by mucocutaneous ulceration in the mouth and genital region and uveitis with hypopyon. The neuro-ocular form may cause blindness and death. Synovitis, thrombophlebitis, gastrointestinal ulcerations, retinal vasculitis, and optic atrophy may be occur as well.

hi, that is a good explanation..think u should be ophthalmologist .. bechet's syndrome = oral aphthous ulcers +genital ulcers +uveitis idiopathic etiology (some correlation to recurrent streptococcal inf) disease affects small vessels..particularly veins.. becos it involves vessels becomes multisystemic problem (say CNS, GIT) etc...also as said already causes...retinal vasculitis therefore can lead to CRAO (central retinal artery occlusion and secondary optic atrophy) also another interesting ophthalmologic finding as told is.. recurrent hypopyon uveitis 8)
