I'm going through First Aid, and filling in with supplemental sources when needed (BRS, Robbins, Kaplan Organ, Ridiculously SImple) ... then writing notes into First Aid margins. I'm also making flashcards for drugs, bugs, and other rote memory items.

It took me about 2 days to get through Micro, 3 days to get through biochem, and about a day to get through antimicrobials. When going through it, I feel very good and everything make sense, but then I can't seem to remember much -- maybe 20-30% -- after just a couple days.

Is that normal? Will it all sink in better when I skim through First Aid (with my notes in the margins) one or two more times? How much better -- I mean should I expect 40% after 3 times, or 80%?

I appreciate people who will say "yes" to encourage me, but it would help to know the truth about whether this is normal ... or if I need a change of strategy.

Thanks!

Its normal to forget or confuse some of the concepts......I guess it happens to most of us....i guess thats why there is alot of emphasis on doing questions so that when we make mistakes while doing questions we also learn through them.
