What is the most common cause of an elevated homocysteine level in the U.S.?

B12/ B6/ folate def , all 3 can lead to homocystinemia
Though im not sure but i think folate def is the most common cause in US :?

It is more likely to be folate deficient, that is for sure.

The accumulation of homocysteine and its metabolites is caused by disruption of any of the 3 interrelated pathways of methionine metabolism—(1) deficiency in the cystathionine B-synthase (CBS) enzyme, (2) defective methylcobalamin synthesis, or (3) abnormality in methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR)
Out of these CBS synthase is more common
